Last week, Pat from Alberta Foothills Weather and myself decided to get together for a photo outing this past Saturday out in David Thompson Country, before the cold temperatures set in. Up early and out there before sunrise, we hoped for a colorful start to the day but instead we were treated to dreary, dull, grey skies. I didn’t take many photos but I did brave some windy conditions to get this photo down on the ice near the Bighorn Dam. You can’t always get great color when you are out shooting! Awesome scenery, exercise, good company, and getting away from the city, especially before the cold, made it an enjoyable day.
That was a fun trip Brandon, thanks again.
Was hoping to see a few more pics tho
Link changed to this site now, are you going to port over your blogspot posts?
Congrats on the new blog Brandon. It is always easy and enjoyable to read your updates and enjoy your great talent of photography. You and Pat always seems to have a good handle on the weather situation in that South Central part of Alberta, particularly Red Deer and RD west regions. I will occasionally try to post and update or two or an occasional thought or two from the great northern suburb of Calgary, aka – Airdrie!!
@ Pat: It was a fun trip. I’m looking forward to the next one. I doubt I will transfer over all the blogspot posts. I’m thinking I’ll just start over fresh. Fingers crossed for aurora from the M9 flare!
@ Anthony: Thanks for the kind words. My wife and I are expecting in February but I will continue to update as much as I can. I still will have some time off this summer to observe storms!
